As part of a holistic philosophy, I love incorporating as many natural methods into my beauty routine as I can. Now, just so we are clear - I am the ultimate girly girl and I have always loved makeup. It's hard to believe now that my career revolves around sweat and messy buns but I can rattle off the top beauty lines, YouTube beauty gurus, and tell you more about face primers than you care to know. I still enjoy all of my makeup products, but I use them about 1-2 days a week compared to 7. Moderation! So - when I am in my day-to-day, I use a lot of natural skincare products to keep my skin clean, clear, and hydrated. And, I LOVE a good D-I-Y. Here's my favorite hydrating, refreshing facial mist you can whip up in less than 10 minutes!
Hydrating Facial Mist
Ingredients
1 glass spray bottle
2 tsp fractioned coconut oil
2 tsp aloe vera
6 drops Lavender essential oil
3 drops Frankincense essential oil
3 drops Copaiba essential oil
Witch Hazel
Purified Water
Mix
In a glass bottle, add coconut oil, aloe vera, and equal parts witch hazel and purified water. Next, add in essential oil drops. Shake well and YOU'RE DONE!
Think about how amazing this is going to feel during those summer months. I should note, you can use any combination of EOs if you don't like the ones I use. However, those particular three are great for your skin. Frankincense can help with signs of aging and enlarged pores while Lavender soothes skin (great for those post workout red blotches!) and Copaiba can help tighten skin, keep acne at bay, and keeping your skin smooth. You can also adjust the amount of drops depending on if you want something that smells lighter or stronger.
Drop me a line if you decide to give this a try!
xoxo,
