I am so excited to share this post with you! This post is meant to give you a better idea about FitStyle In-Home training, what it entails, and answer some questions I have encountered the last several months.
Knoxville has so many amazing personal trainers and resources, it can be intimidating to find the right fit for you. My hope is to share my personal training passion with you, what my training style is like, and what I can offer you if you decide to become my client.
I started FitStyle in February of 2017 in anticipation of my move to Knoxville from Cleveland, TN (read "Meet Your Trainer" for the full story) with the primary focus being in-home personal training and some class offerings. In-Home training is a service I was unable to find offered in Knoxville and knew it would be something that would be beneficial as well as unique to the community. Keep reading for more!
What is In-Home Training?
In-home training is where your personal trainer (me) comes to you! Whether you live in a house or an apartment/condo, in-home training can work for you! All the space we need is at least the length and width of your body. If you have workout equipment of your own, that's great, but it's not necessary. I provide everything necessary for a full-body workout.
What's a FitStyle personal training session like?
Every training session begins with SMR (self-myofascial release/foam rolling) and a full body stretching routine led by me. After your body is sufficiently warmed up, you will begin your workout created specifically for you. Each FitStyle workout is as unique as the client. Depending on your goals, your workouts may be concentrated more on strength, agility, flexibility, or weight loss (or a combination of all!)
Throughout your whole session, I will be right beside you encouraging you, instructing and demonstrating each exercise, watching and correcting form, and modifying exercises when necessary.
After you have completed your workout, I will lead you through a full cool down routine and your session will be complete!
What are the benefits of in-home training?
The main benefit is CONVENIENCE! By me coming to you and bringing all of the training equipment necessary, the only thing you have to provide is your time. Gym settings can be intimidating, work schedules can be crazy, and our families demand a large amount of time. By having your workout come straight to you in the comfort and convenience of your own home, you can fully commit to a healthier, more fit lifestyle.
What type of equipment will I be using?
Each workout will be varied, but you will be using equipment including, but not limited to, dumbbells, weighted plates, bars, resistance bands, speed ladders, hurdles, stability balls, BOSU trainers, sliders, suspension straps, mini bands, medicine balls, jump ropes, and more!
How long is a FitStyle personal training session?
Each session is 60 minutes
What type of personal training sessions do you offer and how are they different?
I offer private and teammate sessions. Private sessions are one-on-one with me and you for the entire session. Teammate sessions are 2-4 clients for the entire session.
How do I know which one is right for me?
Private sessions are ideal for those who may be newer to working out or desire to have undivided attention during their training session. Teammate sessions are great for couples or friends who enjoy working out together but need a little more guidance in the form of personal training.
How do I schedule a session?
You can schedule a session by emailing me at email@example.com. Once you contact me, we will set up a convenient time for us to meet and conduct a consultation (see below). After the consultation, we will set up a time and day for your first training session!
What is a consultation?
A consultation is an initial meeting between the trainer (me) and the potential new client (you) - it is the best way to talk about goals, concerns, and what I can offer you as a trainer. Each consultation involves a physical assessment so I know what your current capabilities are and can create the most appropriate training program for you.
